Grace yearns to grow in Christian discipleship, as we live into the the diversity of our city in our worship, our education, and our mission.
Built in 1903, Grace United Methodist Church is one of Dallas, Texas' historic church and is marked by city, state, and national historic markers. It is one of the best examples of Gothic Revival architecture in Dallas. Considered by many to be one of the most beautiful churches in the city, the sanctuary is framed by 15 massive stained glass windows.
Grace Church is the oldest congregation in Dallas worshiping in the same location. Our church has seen over a century of change in the neighborhood. At the end of the twentieth century, affluent residents moved north, and East Dallas became an ethnically diverse, working class community. Many neighborhood churches moved out of the inner city. We embrace the diversity and look forward to continuing our much-needed ministries to this community for the next hundred years.
