Rev. Judith Reedy is Grace’s second female Senior Pastor. Judith received her Master of Divinity degree from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in 1998. She has been in church ministry for more than 30 years, the first seventeen as a youth minister working with youth as a missional extension of the church. She has continued her missional work in Africa, teaching about AIDS and working with Ganta United Methodist Schools in Liberia. Judith is also active at the district and conference level of the United Methodist Church, where she serves as Conference Secretary, member of the District Board of Church Location and Building, and as mentor for candidates for the ordained ministry.
Michael Manes is the choir director/organist for Grace United Methodist Church. He also heads the fine arts department of Greenhill School in Dallas, Texas, where he oversees art, music, drama, speech, debate, and a private music and dance studio. In his 36 years at Greenhill, Michael has taught music to students of all ages, from first graders to high school choir members, has directed the annual spring musical, and has organized Greenhill Singers concert trips to destinations across the country and in Canada. In addition to serving as a choral director and organist for a variety of churches in Dallas and Fort Worth, Michael served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1970 to 1971, where he was musical director for base theatrical productions and stage crew for the Bob Hope Christmas tour, and choral director and chaplain’s assistant for touring and chapel choirs. Michael received his Bachelor of Music degree, magna cum laude, from Oklahoma Baptist University, Shawnee, Oklahoma, and his Master of Church Music degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
Reverend Adam White serves as the Associate Pastor of Education at Grace. He joined the Grace team in the fall of 2014. His areas of focus are overseeing Adult Education and Grace’s young adult ministry, “YALL” (Young Adult Learning Lunches). Adam holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree from the University of North Texas in History, a Masters of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology at SMU, and a Diploma in Theology of Ministry from the University of Cambridge located in Cambridge, UK.
He has a love for developing educational opportunities and ministries that modernly implement the missional principles of the Early Methodist Movement, like modern day Class and Band Meetings. He also has a desire to build deeper relationships with others in the local community, as a result of his living in the Deitrich Bonhoeffer House for over five years, a neo-monastic community that is a part of the Epworth Project. Adam is all on staff at the Missional Wisdom Foundation as a writer and instructor for their academy of Launch and Lead.
He is married to the wonderful Reverend Blair Thompson-White, who currently serves as the Senior Pastor at Arapaho UMC, where they both live in Richardson, TX. His hobbies include spending time with his family and two dogs, playing soccer, and riding his bicycle around different trails in Dallas.
