Everyone is welcome to join in as we enjoy an old-fashioned get together and meal while welcoming this special couple to the Grace family.

Grace Partners with The Senior Source

Grace is collaborating with The Senior Source for six presentations on topics relevant to Seniors, their friends and adult children. The next program in the series, "Experience Dementia Live," will be presented at The Senior Source on Saturday, August 9.

Introduction to Lay Servant Ministries Class

Looking for a way to become more intentional about your service and witness to the world? Grace is hosting an Introduction to Lay Servant Ministries class Saturday and Sunday, August 9-10: August 9 is 8:30-4:30 in person; August 10 is 2:00-4:00 virtual.

The class is a great way to reflect on our baptismal call to service, to refresh your Methodist knowledge and vocabulary, and to imagine more for our church. This is the initial class in becoming a Certified Lay Servant, Speaker, or Minister in the United Methodist Church.

Grace is having a picnic as a treat for our kids and youth as they prepare to go back to school. It will be Sunday, August 10, at the Worth Street Community Garden, just across Worth from East Dallas Christian Church.

The Godly Play teachers and others will be chaperones. We'll walk together the short distance to the garden, gathering at Grace about 9:15 a.m., and returning about 10:30 a.m. Parents are encouraged to come along. 

We don't need donations for the picnic, but we're collecting school supplies for the kids.  Please consider bringing pencils, erasers, notebook paper and other basic items to the church office.
